    Switching from live to f/t

I have a pinstripe ball python that will only eat live feeders. He is just not interested at all in the f/t. I would like to switch to f/t but I can't get him to even try. I've tried every trick in the book. I've brained them. I've brushed chicken broth on them. Warm. Cold. Mice. Rats. You name it and I've tried it. I have my 2 other snakes on f/t and he is my only one I have to feed live. Is there a way to ween him onto f/t or am I stuck on live prey?

When you try to switch to f/t, how long do you hold out before you offer him live instead?

Try leaving the mouse in the cage for an hour.

How long have you let him refuse food before giving him live.

I haven't dealt with this myself, but have heard that some people have used this technique with success: Feed a small live animal (like a mouse, etc.) first, then when he is still in "food mode" offer a f/t prey item and do the "zombie dance" with it on tongs... The prey item will need to be pretty warm (like a live prey item).

    Good luck switching him.

Can you try him on fresh killed instead of going straight from live to f/t?
