    Looking at the cb70 rack, anybody have one? Opinions?

    It all depends on your ambient temps in the room you will keep the rack. RBI only uses 4" heat tape, even on their largest racks. Only covers a little more than 10% of the floor space. If you have ambient room temps in the high 70s you should be fine, but if not, you will need to go with a company that uses larger heat tape, like Beeger Boxes.

    The small heat tape is what has always kept me away from ordering racks and just building my own instead. Can I recommend another option: ARS racks. They just came out with a new line that is prices very nicely...

    Reptile Basics have great products and customer service the downside is the lead time, better not be in a hurry.

    4 inches heat tape is more than enough in the majority of cases especially with an enclose rack that will hold heat better.

    At least when it comes to the three cb70 racks I've ordered they've been pretty quick for me. Maybe I've just been lucky.

    Only true if you have a dedicated reptile room that is able to maintain ambient temps in at least the mid 70s. If you are putting this rack in a room climate controlled for humans (usually high 60s/low 70s) your ambient temps in the tubs won't get up to where you need them to. This information was corroborated by RBI themselves when I was looking into racks.

    RBI has a wonderful reputation, and does make quality products, they just might not be suited for everyone's unique conditions.
