What's the latest on shipping retics?

    Hey everyone,

I know that retics were previously recently added to the Lacey act, so sorry if this is old news, but im not 100% clear if it is allowable to ship retics currently. I have seen some earlier responses on here that if you were a USARK member before a certain date you are able to ship? Any validity to that?

Thanks. Not to sound sketchy, but who is actually going to check this membership? Guaranteed FedEx wont.

Somebody will check if the snake gets loose, especially if any kind of accident is reported, rather it be to the snake or human.

It's easy enough to find a USARK member who could ship the snake for you.

Re: What's the latest on shipping retics?

You can indeed ship retics and anacondas right now if you are a current member of USARK, as of the date of the injunction. It isn't clear who or what enforcement is being done.

USARK didn't negotiate this stipulation in their favor, the court created it.

If you have donated at least $20 over the last year through the ShipYourReptiles micro-donation function you may also qualify, but you would have to check with Phil@USARK on that. The SYR micro-donation function allows you to optionally donate as little as 50 cents per shipment to USARK, to fight for our rights, and our future to keep reptiles privately and commercially. We have raised over $20,000 through the micro-donation feature, just 50 cents and a dollar at a time. Pretty awesome.

Thanks for the info. So can I donate 20$ now and qualify to ship a retic?

Would the shipment need to just be in their name?
