WARNING THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING DO NOT TRY AND USE THIS SYSTEM FOR UR SNAKES

my BPs tank is finally at the right temps
80-85 cool and 88-95 hot side during the dayBUT however i have 3 yes 3 UTH and a constant red buld (this keeps the tank at a constant 70cool 80 hot ) AND a 175 watt spot light for day light simulation and its the only thing that heats up the tank!!!!!!!!!!!

What can i do? its too much electricity and not very practical

the good news is that i can return the heating pads to petco if i need to

but what alternative do i have? do human heating pads work better?

Wow...how cold is it in the room they're being kept in? And how big is the tank? I have a 20 gallon tank heated perfectly fine at 92 and 82 and all I have is a human heat pad on low covering half of it. And that's temperatures in my cold bedroom. My room is anywhere from 65-70 degrees. That sounds like a lot of stuff to heat your tank.

What are you using to measure the temperatures? If its the stickons, that could be your problem. If its the digital thermometer with probe, where are you taking the readings from?

I'm perplexed as to why it would take that many heat sources to only heat the tank to that.
