    Question R zilla temperature controller help 1000 watt

    Hey guys so I got my new ball python an it's awesome now problem I'm having is my temp getting to high and not cutting off I got the prob on the inside of the cage on the side a 1/2inch mayb a littlr more off the heat matt is this where the probe should be I have an ultratherm heat matt any help is appreciated

    A tstat probe needs to be outside the cage. It goes between the uth and the bottom of the tank. Again it goes on the OUTSIDE.

    If I remember correctly that is a thick probe on that tstat. You may find mounting the probe to the bottom of the uth works better for you.

    Stop worrying about the temperature on top of the substrate, the temperature of the surface the snake can touch is under all that. They can burrow.
