How many amps in my snake rack? (please help!)

Ok, so I have a five drawer rhinoraxx ball python rack, and I can't seem to figure out how many amps it uses. Any advice?

Without calling them and asking or researching their site, I would look on the bottom of your t-stat. Or if it's for the purpose of purchasing the right one, you could estimate the length of heat tape used and the width and figure out the wattage.

It's four inch wide flex watt tape. There's about 10 feet of it in the rack. How do I find out how many amps it uses?

you need to know the wattage of the tape, once you have that you can calculate the current being drawn. It will be very low. http://www.rapidtables.com/convert/e...att_to_Amp.htm

I looked around for you. Flexwatt is 8 watts per foot (wpf), thg is 6wpf and some no named brand stuff is 5wpf.

I'd calculate off the highest I found at 8wpf x 10 ft, your looking at about 80 watts.

    80 watts / 110 VAC = 0.72 Amps
