    Having trouble with get my ball python to eat

    Hey kinda of needing help get my rescue ball python to eat anything bigger than a hopper he try to eat a large mouse and could not get it swallowed he keep spit it back out when he would get the head in his mouth but he can eat the hoppers in less than 5 mins what do I do to get him to eat the size he should be eating or can I just give him more of the hoppers would that be ok

    How big is he?

    He weighs around 400grams from what the vet told me he is not sure on the age but the vet thought he was around 3 years old and he is 3 and a half feet long

    Post a picture with something to use for scale. IE a ruler or measuring tape.

    Hi,

    I'd just give him multiple Hoppers or perhaps try a different rodent - rats instead of mice for example.

    But as long as he is willing to eat I wouldn't stress too much about what his choices are just yet.
