    Advice required

Hello all I'm new to this forum so hello

just looking for for a bit of advice a couple of months ago I purchased a mojave and a pastel male and female they are only bout 8 months old but they had always been kept together. When I got them I separated them into there own rubs and now neither of them will eat and I have tried every possible idea of trying to get them to. What my question is should I consider putting them back in together to see if that makes a difference ?

    cheers Dan

Can you describe your setup? Don't put them back together, that's not why they aren't eating.

Do you know the temps the last owner was keeping them?

Do you know how the enclosure was set up when they were together?

Do you know you are offering the same prey they were eating when they were?

Do you trust the person you got them from and know they were eating?

    Re: Advice required

Yeah I checked there setup and was similar to mine however they had a larger rub for them as they were I together and yeah she said rat fuzzies which I've tried them on and also small mice
i trust her as much as can trust anyone when buying reptiles :/ but when I first got them I left them in together and for a few days to settle after the travel and they both eat but since separated them nothing

    Interesting.

Im curious to see if they eat once back together but I don't know what to suggest to you.

Are they near each other? Maybe moving them far apart or moving them closer together could tell you more.

I wouldn't suggest putting them back together as your goal should be to get them eating seperately. Try cluttering up their rubs a bit. Throw in some extra hides and some crumpled up newspaper. Make them feel cozy even though they are alone then give them a week or so before feeding them again. You could even wait 2 weeks to make sure they are nice and hungry

Oh and watch for them to be laying in their hide with just their nose sticking out. That is usually the sign they are ready to eat.

How were the rat fuzzies prepared and offered?

Do you feed live or F/T and do you pre-scent?
