    Pine bedding+mice?

Obviously pine bedding is bad for snakes, I know this. But is it bad to breed/keep mice in pine bedding before feeding to your snake? Can dust stick on them or is it okay if I just brush off the shavings?

All my mice and rats are kept on pine bedding - some people keep their snakes on pine bedding without problems.

Depends on the pine in question. If it is kiln dried its fine. I've had to switch back to this since my source of free hardwood shavings has dried up.
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

Many many mice and rats have gotten hugs from all of my collection and they are all bred on KILN dried pine.

    Re: Pine bedding+mice?

All my feeders are kept on pine and I don't brush or shake them prior to feeding, been raising them on pine for 8 years and produce a few 1000's each year.
