    Yes I always feed just one prey item. My adult colubrids get fed once a week unless they start getting chubby then I go 10-14 days. Those girls get hips otherwise. lol The hatchlings I feed once a week for about a couple months and then I will usually feed every 5 days unless they are max prey size then only every 7 days. The newly hatched hatchlings only get prey size equal to or even a little less then their girth. I feed by what the condition is of the snake though. If they are getting too heavy I tone it back. I don't mind my pythons being chunky but I don't want the colubrids to be chunky.

    I consider this to be too big of a prey item.

    I do feed my kings a little more. My adults eat roughly 10% of their body weight every 7 days. They usually get 2 jumbo mice or a jumbo mouse and a chick per feeding.
