Found some bugs in my BP's stool

My girl went poop today and when I was cleaning it out, I noticed some bugs crawling around it. I know it is a natural thing for bugs to be attracted to stool, but I have never seen any bugs around my snake's poop before. Is something to be worried about?

Unless they were IN the stool and not just ON the stool, not really. If it looks like worms, YES.

Bugs in your snakes home is always cause to worry. If they were the crawly-type bugs (read: they have legs), I think it's more likely they're just bugs that found their way into your snakes home and decided to make a meal of it's poo. Clean tank/tub and all bowls and accessories thoroughly. If they were worms of any sort it's much more likely that they're internal parasites and a vet visit is in order. Clean tank/tub and all bowls and accessories thoroughly and adhere to regimen prescribed by vet.

Thumbs up Re: Found some bugs in my BP's stool

IMO, It's suspicious and I would double zip lock bag it and put it on ice until I can get to the herp vet. Why play a guessing game??????? And by putting it on ice I mean in a Styrofoam container on ice not your freezer or your refrigerator. Unless you have one designated for the reptiles you own. Internal parasites can be easily treated by a herp vet if that is what it is.
