    Are the eggs good?

I usually vheck for eggs every night before bed. The day before yesterday was very busy, so I came home fell asleep and didn't check till tonight. I found two clutches but the looked a bit dry and a bit smaller (not slug small) than what I have come to expect. Also, even though the mother was coiled around them, they were NOT stuck together, touching yes, but not like my previous clutches where the whole wad was inseperable. The were just separate eggs. I put them in the incubator but wonder if they are any good?

I will candle them in a bit and take some photos.

Yeah they should be good. It is usually obvious when they are slugs. Candle gently and confirm. Little dry for a bit is fine as long as they get to the humid incubator asap.

They all candled with strong, good veins.

They don't look as bad as I thought they did now that I look at them. Just not as big and plump as my others.

Here they are. Look good to you?

How come they don't stick together like all my other clutches?

Also, is that slug edible? Can I feed it to my lizards?

Even the one on the left in the bottom pic? It seems dented and wrinkly.

Yep, that'll happen. As long as it doesn't start severely collapsing it's fine. I don't know why some eggs don't stick together, maybe its because they weren't touching when they were laid, a more experienced breeder may know, but I know it is fine.

You should be good. I have had clutches where they didn't stick either. No clue as to why but they hatched.
