questions on feeding

how do u know if ur BP is getting enoough to eat im feeding Monty 1 adult mouse every week and i think his girth is ok (what should he weigh in pounds if hes like 22-24 inches long?) but im just not sure

If the mouse/rat leaves a little lump then i think its getting enough food.Once a week sounds great. i feed my ball python Roxy everyweek and the baby corn every 5-6 days i havent fed the new (larger) BP but i intend on feeding her once a week also.

I dont even know if a 20 inch snake would even weigh in pounds...... :? :?:

I have a 22-24 inch 5 month old female bp, and she weighed in at roughly 240 grams tonight. It's not too accurate though, since it's an old analog scale, but it gives me a rough estimate.

That should be big enough if that's an adult mouse (25g+) but if it's a juvenile like most pet stores tend to sell (15g) you may need to find bigger mice or feed a little more often or give it 2 mice per feeding, since a bp that length should probably be more than 150g. . Generally, I go by the rule of a minimum of 1/10th your bp's weight and a maximum of 1/3rd your bp's weight.
