What options to get with T8
Looking at finally getting this T8 and I was wondering what options should I go with? Only one I see to get is the sliding door lock. Not getting flexwatt because not sure if I want to use that or just go with a radiant heat panel. Lights I don't want because I'm looking at putting LED strips in so gives a crisp look and longer lasting. Is the 20" screen cut out smart to get?

Another question, do bp's use the basking shelf?

I use my own heat tape on the cages it is cheaper. I would not go with the screen if you are using it for a snake. The screen will just let the humidity out. You may want the locks but if you don't want to pay for them you can put wood dowels in the track to stop the doors being slid open from the snake. I love my AP cages.

Re: What options to get with T8
I'd probably just go with the sliding door locks but it's to keep people out. Haven't had a BP open an AP terrarium and it probably will never happen.

Get the lock, it's only $20. I had a blood python open sliding doors that I had forgotten to lock once.

Re: What options to get with T8
Was going to ask this same question myself as I'm going to be ordering a T8 soon and not sure if I need both RH panel and the under tank heat pad.

I live in NJ so I do get some
Cold winters but hot summers, I was told I'd need both for winter, but I hear great things about RHP that I am trying see if I could then just run that instead of both?
