    Active during the day

My ball python had always hid during the day and came out at night. She ate yesterday and has never missed a meal and seems to be pretty healthy. Today when i woke up she was hiding but i came home at 10:30 and she was moving around not trying to hide, looking all around. She isnt really slithering around, she is sitting on top of her hide moving her head to the top of the cage and looking all around and sometimes chages position. If something is wrong please help.

Unless you had some changes in your husbandry there is probably nothing wrong. Mine do that as well from time to time as well.

big hint when owning ball pythons... as long as your husbendry is correct and you see no obvious signs of mites (black pepper in the water bowl) or an RI best just to assume your ball is doing what balls do best witch is confuse the owner with odd random behavior

    Re: Active during the day

When I was new to owning a bp, I remember being freaked out when I saw this behavior. Shouldn't be anything wrong. Sometimes I'll use this "opportunity" to take my snake out of the cage for some handling, as long as it hasn't fed in the last 48 hours. As a matter of fact, mine was all over the place this morning, and some time out of the cage calmed him down, and he's now back in his hide, chillin'
