unusual behavior for her....
Hi I have a young pastel ball python, good eater, lots of fun. She eats one a week right now, a mouse a step up from a hopper baby mouse. We fed her last Tuesday, and we fed her again this Wednesday. She didn't poop from the last time she ate and has been lounging in her water bowl for the last 2 days. My mother instincts tell me maybe she feels heavy. Idk. Her inactivity is the only thing that really concerns me. Should I wait an extra few days this next week to fed her to see if she” works things out”, out go ahead as scheduled?

Are your temps correct, or do you see what looks like black pepper in the water Bowl.... snakes usually chill in the water bowl to help with digestion or when they have mites.... or she could just really love sitting in water

I will look for the "black pepper" when I get home from work, but I don't recall seeing anything like that so far.The temps are good, water added when i need to. So maybe she does like the water. we have not had her for very long, so maybe this is just something new for me. lol

How many hides do you have in her enclosure?
Usual reasons for sitting in water bowl are temps, mites, and insecurity.
If your temps are right, and there's no mites, make sure you have enough places for her to hide and feel secure.
It is okay to use pine bedding for snakes.
It is okay to feed live food to snakes.
