My new little girl
I simply had a blast at Repticon Denver yesterday. I didn't think I would be bringing anything home, but that wasn't the case.
I've always been in love with Columbian boas- the shape of their heads, their eyes, they're just beautiful. I've always been a little hesitant to get one because I've read that they can grow to be a pretty big size. But when I saw this little girl, I couldn't say no! So let me introduce Muriel, the albino paradox bci. I am in love with her colors and her pretty pink eyes.
Now I'm wondering, does anyone have an adult albino paradox I could take a look at? I'd love to get an idea of how she'll look when she grows up a bit.

Best would have been to ask the breeder if he had pictures of the mom and dad as each snake will look different but I guess you could google it and get some kind of idea, better than nothing at all Grats btw. They're so cute as babies, then they grow into 6' girls that still think they are babies and want to sit on you

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Nice pickups! I believe the patterning on albinos tends to fade as they get larger. here's a link to some pics from the breeder I got my male BCA from. I think his adult albino is pictured near the bottom on the tree... You can see how the patterning fades over time. Some hold their pattern better, especially lipstick line albinos, which have been breed to retain more pattern as adults.

Lovin' everyone's newest additions! If anyone else has a little beauty to share, don't hesitate!
Thank you for the link, artgecko. I can see how the markings have faded and the snake appears to be more yellow. After some thorough google searching I came up with a pretty nice representation of an adult albino paradox- at least I think it's an accurate picture. The person who took it did say it was an albino paradox.

Basically albinos patterns fade and they yellow. Sunglows hold their pattern and slightly yellow because the hypo in them keeps them colored. Corals pattern fade some but they develop an overall coral coloring. If that help. Also albinos are 1 gene animals, sunglows are 2 gene(hypo/salmon and albino) and coral is a dice roll as far as I know, its not a gene that can be isolated. Then there are certain breeders which breed for a trait like EBV Redgroup being known to have very red hypos and Tom Burke being the maker of Lipstick Line and Peter Kahl for the coral line of albinos.
