Ah yeah that's what I am afraid of. There is no puss, liquid or anything really. Just the red looking dry scales. Keep using polysporn? Should I try the commercial repti-wound product. Is a vet trip necessary yet?

I wouldn't really mess around with possible infections as they can lead to blood poisoning. I'm not saying that's the stage you're at but it's something to keep in mind.

You have already treated it with polysporin and it still hasn't responded to treatment. Also, you are still concerned so just take her to the vet. Maybe it isn't serious but let the vet be the judge. Why keep guessing? That snake is beautiful, just make a appointment. If we, as humans cut ourselves on metal it usually requires a tetanus shot or a booster at the least. Keep us updated!
