Hi everyone. I'm fostering my friends leopard gecko for a while because he moves around a lot and wants a stable environment for her. It looks like she's between six to seven inches long so I think she's fully grown. Her terrarium has what looks like fine grain play sand for substrate. I wanted to try feeding her crickets in an empty plastic tub instead of in her terrarium to negate the risk of getting impaction from eating sand, but she seems to hate it. She seems to have absolutely no problem feeding inside of her terrarium but she only ate a couple of crickets during each of my two attempts to feed her in the tub and after that she wouldn't do anything except try to climb out. Is this just something I need to keep doing so she gets used to it, change nothing, or change the substrate?
