Talking Painting the interior of the enclosure?

    Hello Everyone!

I recently moved my two year old ball python into a new enclosure. He has never, and I mean never, had any problems with feeding. That is to say, until now. His husbandry is kept to a T according to the guidelines set forth by this forum, and the only difference that I can Think of between his old enclosure and his new one is that the walls of the interior of his enclosure or white instead of dark green. I have been considering for sometimenow what how to paint them a darker color, and was wondering what kind of paint is safe to use for the interior of his enclosure. I believe the enclosure is made out of laminated wood.

And I help you guys could give me would be amazing, thank you so much!

How long since the move? Sometimes just changing a cage can require a new settling in period just like when the snake first arrives. Also, older snakes are more likely to participate in hunger strikes than hatchlings/yearlings. You're guy might be having it's first winter time fast. I have numerous snakes in white AP cages and they seem just fine with dining in that decor.

I moved him at the end of September. He's eaten maybe three or four times since then. Is that normal for a fast?
