Gutloading mealworms

Question on gutloading worms....in this picture, the bedding on the left is what was in the cup that I store my mealworms for my leo. I keep them in the fridge. Now, I can't tell if this bedding is also something they eat. The cup with the mealies on the right is the remaining mealworms in the cricket gutload that I give to the crickets for my beardie. They started eating that right away when I placed them in there. Can anyone ID the bedding that the mealworms came in, and if its OK to just leave them in that? Or continue to offer the cricket gutload as well?

It looks like coarse grain, in which case it's fine to leave them in that and they will eat it (though slowly if refrigerated).

I have read the little cup they come in and it says they need to be kept at 45-55 degrees so they won't die. I put mealies and waxies in the fridge and had many die all within a days time. So to keep them all alive, eating and growing, I got some little disposable tupperware and put carrots and potato in there for them, also some oatmeal, and they eat it and get very fat. My leos and my frog are very fat and happy on those. I would just rather have them nice and warm and wiggly than have them come right out of the fridge and not be eating much of anything healthy. I don't know if that made sense It's early...
