Type of frogs?
Hello,
I have loved both reptiles and amphibians all my life, I was hoping to add frogs to my ever growing collection of herps. I was wondering which frog(s) grow the biggest besides pacman frogs, I was thinking more of a tree frog. I'm just looking for a large species of frogs or tree frogs besides the pacman frog

If you want a big frog, a bullfrog is a nice option. Depending on where you live though they may be illegal. For tree frogs, I love whites. I have some myself. I believe the biggest tree frog is the waxy monkey frog. Quite beautiful and similar care to whites.

Some breeds of good ol green tree frogs can be up to the size of a baseball... Dumpy whites are cool guys. Be warned they yell at anything loud. I really dig my little pacman but i have a phase2 blue samurai. The regulars are not so attractive. Look into tomato frogs. Theyre awsome hearty large fellas and a bright red! Amazon bullfrog or pixies are another large breed but they arent as bright and pretty.

Whites can get up to 5" but I think average is 4". I like the milk frogs as well. They are a bit smaller then whites.

This isn't really what you asked, but I have some input, having raised both frogs and toads.
I've found toads (true toads) to be very rewarding pets. Some, like Cane Toads, can get quite large. I have found them to be more personable than my frogs, and more rewarding to raise. Many common toads found around the US get fairly big, "tame-down" and are active and fun pets -- and generally are more "handle-able" than a lot of frogs. Many of them are also simple and hardy as far as care goes.
Not too big as far as tree frogs go, but I have found Grey or Cope's Grey tree frogs to be fun, as well as Peacock frogs (big-eyed tree frogs) which are bigger and can be very ornate.
