Hey folks...here's just a little tidbit I wanted to throw out. If you feed your snake a big meal, make sure it can effectively thermoregulate, and always make sure there is fresh water available. Any time you feed a snake its body temperature will be elevated due to the digestion process. Ensure that the enclosure isn't too warm (which could cause overheating) or too cool (which could cause a big meal to rot before its digested) and that your snake has enough room to move between hot & cool in its enclosure.
Also, make sure the snake has plenty of water available & cut down on handling for a day or two. Just like people after a big Thanksgiving dinner, snakes can get bloated from a buildup of intestinal gasses while digesting food. Keeping them calm & quiet while digesting a meal helps such conditions pass quickly (no pun intended).
Just a husbandry tip.

Yeah just want to thank Kara for helping me get some sleep. My bp ate a pretty big rat and I checked on her tonight after work, noticing a gas bubble basically in the area where the lump from the rat is. I was almost in a panic, kinda helpless not knowing what to do. Thanks K!
