    Prognosis: Very Healthy

Ok, it wasn't that big, about 8 1/2', but still. And, of course it was completely my fault. A classic case of stupid keeper error.. I touched snake food, and didn't adaquately wash my hands prior to holding the snake.

I had him around my neck, and he bit my hand (right in front of a group of girl scouts no less) I kept my cool completely though, which is a good thing, and slightly surprising. Someone first tried to get him off by spraying water in his face, but he just clamped down harder, finally someone else got the snake off by spraying windex in his mouth (poor guy). Another surprising thing is it didn't hurt at all. I counted 35 tooth marks too.

Just thought I'd share my story.

I got bit by a big burm today

This just makes me wonder how the girl scouts reacted.... Did you have to get stitches or anything?

    Nope, no stitches.

I don't think they realised at first that he bit me. I got out of their sight real quick. lol One of them asked 'is it biting her?' so I think they caught on. The funny(ish) thing is, is about 2 seconds before the sucker got me, one of the girls asked me if he bites. "no, he's real nice" says I *chomp*

(I still think the snake is nice.. like I said it was completely my fault)

I think he bit you because he didn't like being called "nice". LOL!
Sorry bout' the bite. Ugh, now a group girl scouts might grow up to hate burms.

Yeah, I was more worried about them being afraid of the snake than about the bite. It's kind of a blur now, but I think I told them it wasn't the snake's fault. Not that they would have believed me. lol

Yeah. I've never been bit by anything reptillian. Which I guess is good. But on the bright side you could say that you've been bit by a burm. Thats very honorable. To me anyway. LOL!

Lol.. hopefully I'll have battle scars It honestly didn't hurt though. The bite I got from a green anole hurt worse.

Eek, I've been bitten by a seven inch anole and it hurt! They clamp down and don't let go. Not only that but they like to sit right outside your window and mock you until you try and catch them and WHAM! You have a devilish little fiend attached to your thumb.

Lol, yes exactly! At least I have the tendancy to remain calm when I'm attacked. lol I could have killed that poor anole otherwise. It hurt! Little stinker.

Yeah. Me and my friends used to catch anoles around our house back in go ol' Louisiana. We always felt like killing the little booger to after they bit us but we never did. You've gotta love em'.
