Keep an eye on your ball!

Last night I had a scary incident happen. I had my little girl out for an adventure and sat down, briefly, to check what was coming on TV. Apparently I took my eyes off Asia for a bit too long and when I looked down she was halfway down inside my leather rocker/recliner. Scared the hell out of me. With the help of my wife, who pushed the seat down a bit, I was able to get my hand up to around her neck to stop her from going further into the chair and pulled her out gently. You can bet that I'll be keeping a lot closer eye on her from now on.

Also scared the daylights out of my wife when I yelled for help. She wasn't overly impressed when the problem was that I was losing control of my little ball python! I couldn't get a good grip on the snake nor get either hand up closer to her neck without having the seat cushion pushed down. I could feel her pulling herself down further into the depths of the chair and I was losing the battle. Once I was able to get a hand up closer to her head she pulled her body into my hand. Lesson scarily learned! Dumb human!

Sounds like a stressful situation for you and your BP, glad it worked out for you, I've heard somewhere that if a BP is stuck somewhere and pulling in there direction if you just hold them they will just get tired and you can easily bring them your way, not a 100% on that.

That is quite scary! I'll have my little bp out on the couch with me, and if I don't keep an eye on him, he'll try to scoot into the couch cushions :o But I've been lucky enough that he doesn't actually get into them. I'll see him stick his head in, and I'm like and pull him out haha. That's one thing I never want to happen, as my friend's couch eats everything if you're not careful

It's funny how scary that was. She was slowly disappearing and I knew that I couldn't pull on her.Once I could get one hand up her body (and the other hand on her back end) far enough I was able to allow her to crawl into it. Good thing I'm not a big guy with huge hands! It's amazing how much there is to learn about these beauties.

Glad to see things went ok. It could have been worse.

Wow that could have turned out bad. I'm glad you caught her.
