Absolutely adorable!! I think Marla is reffering to the "fringe" on his head and his spine.

Okay - so how does that help with breeding? I've not really thought about breeding so I usually don't really read about it in the caresheets, books, etc.

It really doesn't help with breeding per-se, it just means his babies would be more desirable if they inherit his "fringe". I guess the more fringe on the gecko- the better looking it is?
Or something to that effect. Anyways, an absolutely charming little fellow you have there! I love him

I get it now. He did have more fringe than the other Crested I was trying to choose from. I love him too! He let me hold him and he ate from my finger last night. He's adorable.

Yep, the fur is the longer crests, as Danielle said, and is a desirable trait in offspring, whereas "crestless" cresties are undesirable for breeding. It doesn't make any difference regarding health or anything like that.

LOL. A Crested Gecko with lots of fringe that looks like a baby croc and tries to croak like a frog. He is adorable. Thanks.

I think they look like wingless baby dragons.
