New Baby and Suggestions for building an enclosure

Just brought home my new baby, he is a Pastel and we named him Bishop. Had to show him off

Right now we just have him in a 10 gallon tank, but this summer my husband is going to be building me an enclosure for both him and Khaleesi. Any suggestions?

If you don't care about looks or have a massive budget than use your imagination and make it how you like it. Otherwise I'd just buy a decent view tank. You would probably have just as much money or more in materials as you would just buying a professional tank or larger aquarium. glass cost out the cloaca (haha get it its a snakes a$$)

I have made inexpensive enclosures out of plastic tubs, that I turned on it's side, and face framed a door on it.
Then I put flexwatt on one side of the bottom, and cut a hole in the top, srewed a small piece of plywood
with a hole the size on my heat lamp to the top, put mesh on the wood to hold the heat lamp. This makes a very functional,
and inexpensive pvc enclosure. And these tubs come in many sizes, depending on how big your animal is.

I built this enclosure, and stand out of oak plywood, and oak boards to match the wood trim in my house.
I lined the inside with FRP, which is that bumpy white plastic that you see on the walls of restrooms at gas stations.
This makes the inside waterproof, and easy to clean. I also recessed a piece of 1/4" thick acrylic into part of
the floor on one side, to put flexwatt on. I have well over $300 in materials in this build, not including the lamps and thermostats.
So in hindsight, it would have been less expensive just ordering a pvc cage .
If you look in the DIY and Caging forums on this site, you will find other good ideas for building enclosures.
