Mantid strikes :D - Few pix of a meal

Well, heres a few shots of my biggest mantid eating a huge meal. Its some kind of moth, its pretty good size about 2inches from head to tip, and three inches from the lower corner of the wing to the opposing lower corner of the wing.

they're hardcore
i remember a while back i was looking up some stuff about them on the net, and found pix from some professional photographer that was taking pix of wildflowers in bloom, and he got pix of mantis eating a HUMMINGBIRD....thats insane

they'll eat anything they can get ahold of pretty much.....they grab, and go straight for the neck....its brutally efficient
