Silencing of the crickets?
Does anyone know a good way to keep crickets silent at night? or am I just screwed to listen to them?
Im just throwing around my opinions. Im trying to give as much help as I've received on this website
1.0 Ball Python
2.0 Red Clawed Scorpion
(1.0 means Male right?)

Besides killing them I don't know of any way. My brother used to have a beardie who he would feed live crickets to. Someones one would get inside the hollow tree hide thing and we coudln't get it out. It would chirp until it came out and got eaten or died.
Hopefully someone else will have found one, though, it sure would be nice!

Get cockroaches and mealworms?

You can experiment with keeping them in the fridge at night. I've noticed that crickets stop chirping outside when temps start getting into the 50s and lower - fahrenheit. This also means they aren't feeding or breeding so depending on your needs this may or may not be a suitable solution.

Breed Dubias, problem solved
Silent and not bad smell like crickets, no cannibalism, and they live for a VERY long time

This. MUCH more pleasant than crickets. A lot of people can't get past the 'cockroach' part, but remember that they are tropical. The need higher heat, (I keep mine on top of my snake racks near the ceiling which stays somewhere in the mid 80's) they won't reproduce or even live long in your house if they should escape which is very rare since they don't climb.
If you absolutely need crickets, you can always buy half grown crickets. The males only chirp in their last instar.
