    Snake Room Update

I spent the day combining all of my collection into one room. I've got plenty of space to grow into (for now ) and everyone will have a few weeks to get comfortable in their new homes before my first breeding season starts. Enjoy!

A sign I got from my brother last Christmas - it's perfect for me on so many levels!

The view right when you walk in the door. Humidifier and heater are both on stats to control the entire room - easy as it gets!

The RBI grow-up/male racks along with my mini-freezer and DIY incubator.

The AP adult rack and CS hatchling rack (along with plenty of extra tubs for easy cleaning).

Nice, neat, classy looking room. It does the hobby good when people actually see how particular we keepers are with the upkeep of our animals.

I think you owe yourself 1, 2 or 3 really nice display cages to set the room off.

    Nice work!

    Very cool room

Just one thing when running don't leave your heater so close to the walls (safety reasons and the heat will also be better distributed if it is in the middle of the room )

Cool room. Love that you have everything accessible in the same area

Thanks! Yeah - I've got about 6 feet of cord to put it in the middle of the room when it actually needs to run later on in the year. That room stays pretty warm most of the year (and I'm in AZ) and hasn't fallen below 79 yet, so I don't even have it turned on right now.

Everything except the kitchen sink - literally. The spare bathroom is right next door though, so that works to fill water dishes and such right now. If I get to design my own room in the future, a sink will definitely be in the plans.

100% agreed! It drives me crazy to see some of the DIY-style racks that have obviously been built in the cheapest way to get by as possible. I know not everyone has the same income to invest in their collections, but at least show that you've put a little love into your animals!

    Like these?

They (2x AP T8s) were in the room prior to combining everyone into their current racks. They worked awesome for me for the last couple of years (when for the most part I had only four animals), but weren't as practical when I quadrupled my collection over the summer. One of them has been sold, pending me cleaning it up for its new owner, but the other is still sitting around for the time being.

The room looks great Eric! I love all the matching black. I've been debating moving all my snakes and geckos together into my spare room too lol.. much easier than running all over the place cleaning, feeding etc!
