    Help Please!

Eee! I am very proud of myself. I checked inside her mouth today, and it looked fantastic! Nice pink gums, and what-not. I would try to get a picture, but, my phone is ridiculous and I can't ever take any. Plus, I don't want to stress her out any more than she already is with the whole situation.
I even got a threat when I was putting in her water dish! She had that tail just'a rattlin'. It makes me feel like she's starting to feel better.
My father told me that she didn't look too good just shortly before I checked on her, he said she was holding one side of her mouth down in a weird way. I think she's probably just still sore, though, plus the possible RI. Other than that, I think her mouth looks excellent on the inside.
He is refusing help, though, I brought it up to him that there were people willing to help. But he won't trust you guys.. I trust you guys.
He wants to find some kind of fish-and-something antibiotics (which he was suggested to get by someone who was once a herp breeder and what-not; I trust what you guys say more than what he suggests), and I mentioned how without knowing the weight of the snake, proper dosage, and whatever else, that they can easily do more harm than good. He didn't really say anything after that, though, just gave me a look.

Nice!! That's amazing!!! I'm so glad that she's doing better!! As for your dad, he doesn't deserve to even have the snakes. That seems like borderline animal abuse (Probably not) but those snakes need to go to someone who has a very very open family. You get unlimited brownie points for saving her.

    Re: Help Please!

Just shed today. So the infection wasn't in her eyes, it was just the fact that she was in shed, accompanied by the flash. Around her mouth is looking good, the inside is looking good, VERY little goo in there. It looks MUCH better than it did, I can't even believe it. I'm feeding my own snakes today, so I'll warm up a hopper for her to see if she'll eat. I tried feeding her last Thursday, but she didn't take it.
(Keeping the meals small for now.)

Ty for the update. Glad to hear she's doing better. Good idea keeping the meals small.

Thank you! She actually didn't take the hopper, unfortunately, but I'm going to leave it in there for a little bit and see if she takes it. I hope she does! Her mouth must still be quite sore.

    Re: Help Please!

She didn't eat it, I also didn't leave it in there too long. Just an hour and a half or so. But there was a bunch of fruit flies accumulating in her tub, so I figured it would be best to take it out, as she seems really uninterested anyways.
I am unsure when I should try to feed her again, as I know that I should not be offering too frequently. But I also want her to be able to fight off the mouthrot infection. *sigh* Can't blame her, though, must be incredibly uncomfortable/painful.

I really have to thank you guys for not lashing out too hard at my dad, or even me. I really appreciate that.
I also really appreciate the help.(: If it weren't for you guys, I wouldn't have known what to do, her condition most likely would have gotten worse and we would have lost her. But I have a lot of faith in her, now.

    - I must also thank my aunt, for giving me the money for the betadine. She most likely won't see this, so I will text her and update her.(:

Glad to hear she's doing better! She looks great. I really didn't think she'd make it based on those first two pictures. She's not out of the woods until you've gone awhile without any gunk building up, but she looks like she's got a really good chance now

Good luck in trying to find homes for them as well!
