Lying Inverted - Seemingly Random
Hey, guys. I just caught one of the proven normal females (2100 grams) that I added to my collection a couple months ago lying inverted. I pulled the tub open a bit to get a closer look and she righted herself pretty quickly. I know lying that way is a good sign of an eventual ovulation, but since I haven't paired her (and she laid a clutch earlier this year), what else should be on my radar? Thanks!

I think they just do whatever makes them comfortable sometimes. I caught one of my girls bowl-wrapping last night and she's in the same boat yours is in. Laid a clutch earlier this year and has not been paired yet. I also have a male who will occasionally lay inverted or on his side for seemingly no other reason than to get comfy. He's done it ever since he got over 1000 grams and there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with him.

She did look pretty darn comfortable! I felt bad for disturbing her when I pulled her tub out to check on her. Unless anyone else has anything I should be on the lookout for, I'll chalk this one up to "snakes will be snakes" and try to get a funny picture next time.

That means some of my males may be ovulating soon.
