snake struck at me... he's new and shedding. leave himalone or soak?

I bought a male pastel a few days ago. Brought. Him home even though he was shedding.
I've been soaking him once a day in shed ease.
Today he slithered out of the sink and I reached aroung to pick him up and he struck at me. No big deal....
But should I leave him alone for a week or make him soak?

is he in shed or does he have a stuck shed?

If he's getting ready to shed leave him alone.

If he has a stuck shed put him in a wet pillowcase or snake bag for a few hours and he will get it off.
