Do snakes fart?

The title says it all, can snakes fart?

Oh yeah they can. And it can be surprisingly loud and nasty sounding depending on the snake.

Oh can they. Mine did in his bath last night. Jerked, made a splash of bubbles, then just sort of looked at me. He's also blown it out in his tank, and man was it loud.
They're gross. But so adorable.

Mine farted so loud I actually thought it was someone in the room. I quickly found out it wasn't because the tank was destroyed and it smelt HORRIBLE lol plus my snake looked totally guilty

Yupp they sure do. One of mine woke me up out of my sleep with a loud terrifying fart than sounded like some horrific blob monster waiting to absorb me with it's ectoplasmic goo...lol I think I went to far with that one..but it did happen haha.

OMG! Yes, snakes most certainly do fart! I had a big female normal that literally blew up her tub one night while I was sleeping. It was the most horrific and frightening sound I had ever heard.

Yeah, now everyone imagine a 12' female burmese doing this when you have no idea it can happen. Had to actually see her with her tail raised to believe that horrid sound was actually coming from my girl.
