I just let it thaw at room temp and then when it is thawed, I put in in a heavy ziploc bag and submerge in hot water for about 5 to 10 minutes. By hot I mean tap hot, not boiling. The bag should keep it dry. If your snake will eat it wet then don't worry about bagging it. Present it head first to the snake. Best of luck to you.
I thaw mine out on top of one of my cages that has an RHP in it so the top of the cage is nice and warm and thaws out rats pretty fast. I love using my hair dryer to warm up my thawed rats. It's gets all the scent into the air and by the time I'm ready to offer they are ready to jump out of their tubs for food lol. It also helps with my bad striker (Bubo - Bumblebee) he has a head wobble so his aim is pretty bad when he gets all excited so heating up the head helps him get it the first time instead of the 3-4.

They go in a baggie to thaw for a an hour or two depending on the size. Then it's in a large bowl of hot tap water for 10 minutes max. I use the hair dryer for a minute on all of mine whether they are wet or dry from the soak (some of the baggies have minute holes and the rats get wet) just to add some extra heat. Most, except for a couple of my picky eaters, strike instantly. Plus, the hair dryer seems to disperse the smell around the house as almost all of mine are out of the hides searching after I have fed the first couple.
