Dark pink "lesion" on side of BP: (Help)
Hey!
Long time viewer, first time poster. I have a female regular ball in question. She's roughly 4 months old, in the shed process, and her weight is unknown at this time. She has quite ideal husbandry conditions, regulates her heat throughout the day, and has eaten every week since I have had her. Currently being bedded on cypress, but previously on aspen (but the open top cage was tough for humidity even with the tricks).
About a week ago, 2 days before her next feeding, she had developed a "squishy" lump on her side. It's outlined in a pink, possibly blood color. I have never had a flare up with the UTH or can she access the heat lamp (used for ambient temps). I've watched every one of her feedings until she was done, and didn't witness any bedding ingestion, so I don't believe it can be an impaction.
Here are the pics:

Let me know if the links work, or if you need any additional information. Your help is very much appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi,
Looks like a bruised area?
What do you have in the enclosure it could have got trapped in or hurt by?

Hi Derek,
She has a decorative tree (all wood with 3 upward branches) placed in the center. The only time she is on it is after handling and placed back inside, or on feeding day out hunting. She has a stone water dish and two double open ended log hides as well.
I have never seen a bruised snake before. Is this something that will take care of itself? My cause for concern is that there seems to be fluid buildup, and the pink/red color.
Thanks!

It should, but keep an eye on the fluid build up etc.

Looks like a burn to me. Blister like. She also looks to be in shed. Let her shed then reassess. Keep us posted.

Wait for her to shed. Liquids may be because of the shed.

Thanks for the replies.
She's been about a week into her first shed with me, and her eyes really blued up today. I've been observing that spot daily and it has not changed, which I'm hoping is a good sign. I removed the tree so she has more room to shed, and in case that was the culprit for the area in question.
I will keep y'all updated.
Thanks again!
