I need help Idnk what is it and what to do

I have a 1 and half year old male pastel he is one of my healthiest snakes he is one of my best eaters he never skips a meal. Today after two days of his shed I took him out in order to feed him but I noticed something really weird with his lip I'm not sure if the rat bit him or what it is but..... I'm freak out. Should I go to the ver, here are some pics

I am really not sure, You noticed it after you fed him? I take it you fed him live? Did you stay there to supervise the feeding? If so did you see the rodent bite your snake?

The thing is that I really didn't check him before I tried to feed him. And yes alive? And yes I was watching all I saw was the rat jumping one time and the he lost his interest on the rat I took the rat back and when I was going to put the snake on the tank I noticed that but like I said I didn't check him before all that happened

He didn't strike at it, and hit the side of the enclosure or anything like that? Have you checked to see if he has something stuck in his mouth, such as some substrate, or any foreign material?
