Underweight Lesser - Then and Now (:

So about two months ago I purchased a Lesser female Ball Python online. When she arrived she was not what I expected and very visually underweight. 5/31 she was 900grams. 8/6 she's weighing in at 1532grams. With a little TLC she's come a long way!

Nice one! I recently got a female lesser around 1100g. It sounded like the previous owner fed her once a month. I've been feeding every 5 days 150g small / medium rats and she FLIES out of the tub for them. I haven't weighed her yet but I'm pretty sure she has put on a few hundred grams in the last month.

At first we were feeding her a Medium Rat every 5-6 days to get her back up to weight. We now have her on a 7-8 day schedule of a medium rat, but thinking of feeding less, as we don't want her to get overweight. Do most people feed their adult girls every 7 days? I've seen 7-12 day range. She's a VORACIOUS eater.

    It all depends... really

I stop at Med rats (no matter how big) Off season, i give them every 10 days.

Just after laying i give them every 6-7 days (till they back up to 1500+)

Pre breed aswell i offer every 6-7 days hoping they take every time.

But just to keep them growing but not getting fat i offer every 10 days to the bigger girls, once at the 2,000 gram mark
