Size of female BP
Now that we know that we have a female BP, is there really a big difference in size? Just curious....

Kind of. A male BP is certainly capable of reaching the same proportions as any female however the distribution of weight heavily sides with females, they tend to get larger a bit faster and stay larger. Of course things like feeding habits and fasting will ultimately impact size though.

Most of our males stay around 600-1500 grams. Females are naturally going to grow larger because they are the ones that have to carry the eggs. Our biggest female is 5 foot long and weighed 3200 grams and layed 10 eggs for us. I have heard of females reaching 6.5 feet and close to 10,000 grams but have never seen one. Largest female i have seen was 6 feet and 6000 grams which is about a 13 pound ball python!

Females will grow larger than males in most cases. Females lay eggs, which requires more space than sperm
It is important to keep in mind that females also require larger food items and more space to live.
On average I'd say based only on my own experiences that females grow to and average of 2000g and males 1200g. (MY GUESS - not a fact)
