    Ball python escape...

    So at around 1 am i heard a loud bang and turns out my large male Mojave escaped his bin thankfully my my bedroom door was closed... Found him near my fridge... How can I lock the lid on my 41 qt sterilite bin?

    I have seem people use everything from binder clips to poking holes through the lid and using nuts and bolts to keep it down.

    Put something heavy enough to not collapse the lid and he cannot push up/slide the lid off.

    Strap the lid down with wire or super strong zip ties.

    Buy the sterility 41qt from Target that have the locking handles. Thats the only kind I buy but what makes them great is you can remove the handles and have a lidless looking bin for listless racks.

    I use the hefty brand containers. They have built in latches that have worked well for me so far. I use them for my Bp's boa's and corn snakes. I have only had one escape, and it was one of my female bp's, because I forgot to latch the lid. Give them a try you can find them at lowes.

    I use a series of vice grip locking pliers. Doesn't look too polished but works like a charm.
