Red earred sliders. If it doesnt have a red stripe on the side of its head then its a yellow bellied slider

I found a red ear living at a local lake in Ohio. Most likely a released pet. He was there two years in a row so he seemed to be doing ok basking with the painted turtles.

I live in Anderson and they are everywhere around here. Aqua Gardens/Shady Side Park has a good size lake and u can find them and other species basking on logs out in the water throughout the summer.
