    Please help...BP not fully shedding.

I have a question. My BP shed in pieces. Started coming off 2 days ago. He still needs to shed on the top of his head and neck. I've misted him quite a few times and placed a damp sponge in his habitat as was suggested to me. He still is not shedding it. The gauge says the humidity is at 50. I'm not sure what else to do. I'm new at this so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I am new too but I had thought that 60 to 70 percent was better for a shedding time

Hunidity should be higher. Also, look at the "bad shed no problem" sticky. Helped me quiete a bit with our first bad shed. Sounds like you BP needs a soak.

By "gauge" do you mean the one you stick on the glass? If so these are known to be quite inaccurate I would make a stop at Wal-Mart and pick up a accu-rite thermometer/hygrometer these are much more accurate for about the same price as that stick on gauge and definitely take h20hunter's advise and read the "bad shed no problem" sticky

Yes I do have the gauge that sticks on. It came with the habitat. I will definitely head to walmart for the new one and will check out "bad shed no problem". Thanks so much.

    Ok Thank you!

Alot of snakes are very diffrent aswell, I have a few who can shed 1 piece in 60% and other who shed one piece in 75+%

So my rule of thumb just to make them all happy, Once i notice a shed, i put a sticker on tub, and just mist them Once a day, before i go to bed, or before work either way,
