Check this out
that guy is supposed to be experienced it said?
Mark Woolidge, an experienced snake-keeper, had a lucky escape. He had been handling his pet chinchillas before he checked on Sophie the python. The snake smelled food and sunk her teeth into his hand, dragging him halfway into her vivarium and constricting him in a painful squeeze. It was only the quick thinking of a friend, who poured a bottle of Bacardi over the snake, that saved Mark from a serious injury or death.
experienced my ass, who does that? honestly?
**edit** i like the way this site censors, better than just ***, i find it funny

Unfortunately this is something that happens. People do not give any snakes, esp the large constrictors, their fair share of respect. I know that at times you wouldnt want to get inbetween me an my meal either . Did anyone else notice the guy in the picture with the ( looks like to me ) burm in the streets? There is something i would advise against.
Edit: Hope you dont mind Royal-y .. i edited your insanely long url

Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.

Difference between mealworms and giant mealworms?
"Experienced" here = he'd had it for a few months and hadn't been attacked before. This definitely sounds like a case of Stupid Keeper Error.

That show was on this weekend BTW, it came on right after they were talking about the worlds largest snakes. They showed a lot of stupid people.

Question about rats..
"Experienced" in whose eyes... his own maybe? What an idiot!
Although, my big make Bp bit me a few days ago after I had been handling his prey... oops. At least I learned a good lesson: don't be an idiot, lol.

one time i didnt realize that after i whacked the rat i reached into the bag and got it out with my hands and then got roxy out of her cage , she looked at my hand kind of funny and then i realized what i did and quickly put her in her feeding tank, its pretty funny, once i put her in that tank she right away goes into the "s" even if she doesnt see the mouse.

I saw that story on "the big squeeze" and it said he was holding his pet chinchillas and then went to clean her water and suddenly there was a snake constricting around his face and his roomate slit a cut on the snakes back and it didn't do anythign and then it had to cut its head off to get the snake off of him. But it was the same guy just 2 dif. stories.

I saw one story where the guy had to take a knife to the snake to get it off of himself, and the snake lived and needed stitches afterward.
Methinks I'll be sticking with my nice little ball pythons for awhile.

I had a constriction incident with a Burmese Python... twice. The first time was during feeding. He got hold of my hand and constricted around my arm. I poured a bottle of rum on his head and all that happened was I lost a bottle of rum and got a drunk snake. I had to have it pryed off. I've since learned that hot water over a snake's face will make them let go instantly. I've tested this a few times, twice with a baby Burmese and once with a huge one. Like... stick the snake's head under a tub faucet.
