This is the snake my uncle bought from some people whom had it given to them, and they did not know how to take care of it. In fact they were scared of it. My uncle does not even like snakes, but he knew just from seeing me take care of Samson that the snake was in trouble. They had wood chips in the bottom of the tank that had water standing to the top of them, no heater, and no hide, and there were small white paracites crawling around the tank. I took it out of the tank (VERY CAUTIOUSLY)(He is a BIG fella) and gave it a bath, and cleaned its tank. My uncle loves the snake now, in fact my friend offered him $100 for it (well over what my uncle paid for it) and he does not want to part with it.
This is me with the big guy

this is my friend with it

Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.

The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is....

....Tattooed people don't care if you're not tattooed.

Definitely a good-sized bp! I'm glad he'll be taken better care of now. That's a shame that his conditions were so poor, but at least he's obviously been eating. How successful have you been at getting rid of the bugs?

He does seem girthy, which is surprising considering the conditions he was in. Are we sure he is a "he" and not a "she"? I wish my baby was that big, but we are working on it. He went stupid and wouldn't eat as much as he was supposed to for months. He simply refused. He is almost three and 1/2 feet long and he wouldn't eat more than 2 mice a week for over 6 months. The vet wanted him on medium rats, but he wouldn't eat them. Suddenly he took 5 mice in a week, then a small rat the next week, nothing the following (in shed), a mouse and a f/t small rat the next week, then a prekilled small rat this past weekend. I am still trying to get him to move up to medium rats, but we will try small rats for a few more weeks. He needs to build back muscle tone. Some one said something about sprinkling protien powder on the rats to help build him back up, has anyone heard of this?
