That is a sweet find. Were abouts are you in Georgia. Not too many coral snakes unless your down in the very southern portion. Just remember to look at the head and start at the tip. Black-Yellow-Black means no touchie.Originally Posted by Firemaniv

i have never caught one of these and have wanted to see one FOREVER. The kids and i were on the way home and took the drirt road way. I caught up to a little old lady out for a drive at the beginning and thought well i will not see anything now but she let me pass right away and half way down the herp trail i spotted the king crossing the road. I got out and was doing the king/coral saying like crazy to figure out what it was. The lady caught up and saw me with the snake, bet she thinks i am crazy. I did not have any container so i drove home with 2 bouncing kids and jolding the snake in one hand.
I check on the snake webpage for univeristy of ga and by discription its a king!!!!!
