Just be aware of the fact that the markers do not mean it is het pied. You have to breed it and produce pieds to prove it out.

yes, well, of course, nothing is sure unless its proven out, and i would not bet money on it being het pied.
but i see railroad tracks and they look promising. its possible for a normal to look like this, but the assumption that its maybe het pied is not far fetched at all.
the problem is, its a male. if it would be a female, i would say go ahead and try to prove it out. but it seems pointless because its a male, even if he is 100% het pied, you already have one of these.

Yeah. I've honestly been thinking of just getting him up to a good size and eating consistently (the person that handed him over has had him for a YEAR and when I weighed him he was 135g) and finding him a good home. I don't really have the rack space for him but considering he's in QT, I've got a couple months to make a decision.
I just couldn't leave him where he was. He was in I'd say a 40 gallon tank, no hides, a tiny heater in one of the corners not even connected to a thermostat, 0 humidity...just ugh. The girl said "I don't have time to make sure he eats every feed." I was shocked. Couple days of proper heat/humidity/hides and he took his first meal offered. No assistance needed.
