Re: Tis the day for new king snakes.

Thanks for the info and yes they have a stripped cali because they happen to get her at repticon. I was at the same show and saw the cali morphs. They were all at this one table.

Yours is looking good and seems to be growing like a weed like mine. I could probably bump mine up to the bigger hoppers but I want to get rid of the ones I got now. Pyro is now big enough to eat 3 at a time. That will burn through my current supply so I can order fresh appropriate sized mice.

Pyro is crazy docile as well. I might get an occasional tail rattle but that is about it.

He's actually JUST hit hoppers - but we skipped fuzzies altogether, because I had so many freaking pinkies to get through that it was kind of ridiculous. I don't think he's going to be on regular sized mice for a while but as long as he's growing, I'm happy.

Re: Tis the day for new king snakes.

Yesterday was the feeding day of 3's. My Brooks ate 3 fuzzys and my bredli ate 3 rat pups. I looked at what I have left in the freezer and it will not take long for both of them to eat what is left so I can place another order to get the next sized meal for them.

It's been an age since I posted pictures.

    So, have some.

He is by far my favorite snake.

Looking good, what is his weight now? As for favorite, each of the 3 I have has a reason like my king is just so relaxed and like to people watch. Pyro just reached 236g the other day.

Can I throw a picture of my cal king on this thread? I want to advertise more of the King snakes personalities

Hey just be careful with those Cal kings in general. The bandeds and the albinos have a tendency to want to sink their teeth into everything eventually. Biting is part of the business I know. The Arizona mountain king is much more keeper friendly. I've owned various Cal kings in the past and they just seem to want to let everyone know they are king!!! Stay in peace and not pieces. Good luck. Great looking specimen ! A.C.

You know, I don't know? I haven't weighed him in roughly forever, and don't even remember where I stuck the scale since everyone's eating well. If I run across it, I'll give you a weight. At a guess, quite a bit smaller than your guy. No way could he handle any kind of rat. The mouse in that picture's a very small small adult. He's still grown a lot, though!

If you want to post pictures, go ahead! I'd love to see some more.

LOL, thanks. The first thing he did when leaving his shipping container as a wee little thing was try to eat my thumb, and we had an 'incident' where he rapid fire strikes a billion times in a row when he's just out of shed. Overall, though, he's a FAIRLY chill snake. Just feisty enough to be interesting, but not really all that inclined toward BITING. So far, anyway.

Here's a couple pictures of my cal king. He is a strange one. Only have pictures of him eating because he spends most his time cruising his tank
