Belly scales on my MBK

Does anyone have any idea what these odd marks are on my mexican black kingsnake? I got her a few months ago from an expo, and I've never seen these on her before. She had a good shed a week ago. It's a bit hard to see in the pic with the glare, but her belly scales look like they have cracks or chips along the edges in a couple spots. It's only on her belly. Could it just be scale damage from roaming about? She does like to wedge herself between the lip of her tank and the screen. I was just concerned.

I also have a MBK but she's a bit older, and I hear you on the wedging under the screen top - several of my kings did it. I think your idea about the damage to her scales is correct.

How is her enclosure set up? What kind of substrate are you using? Mine really likes aspen and as a youngster was very shy so she would burrow into it, so I bedded her pretty deep. Also, do you have several hides in the enclosure that are just big enough for her to squeeze into?

I use aspen and have two hides in the tank for her. They're a bit big, but I've partially filled them or buried them in aspen so they feel more snug. I also have some slate rocks that give her little ledges to hide under and bask on if she wants. Lots of little nooks and crannies.
