    Weird question - weight related

So, my 4 year old girl, Kismet, has been off feed for 5 months...naturally, I've been weighing her occasionally to make sure she's ok. When I first got Andromeda last month, I weighed everyone (for fun....new scale lol) and she came in about 15 grams HIGHER than normal. I wrote it off as a fluke (maybe she drank a bunch of water prior?). So, here it is a month later and I'm doing monthly weight checks and she came in at 20 grams over her normal weight. I expected her to lose weight, not gain it....I know 20 grams isn't exactly earth shattering for a 1350 gram snake, but I think it's just odd. It's not like it's a rat or a poop causing the gain... Ideas? Is this normal?

In related news, my baby Andromeda GAINED 72 grams in just 16 days worth of feedings....taking her from 84 grams to 156!!! No one else in my life cares, so I'm posting it here LOL

Good job! And I have had them gain weight while on a hunger strike before too. They are still growing regardless if they eat or not. Of course a very long fast and they will start to lose but 4 months is nothing!

Thanks! Good to know...she's my first to go on a hunger strike, so I'm new to this not eating stuff.

One of my males went on his first hunger strike that's just now been broken but during his 3 month strike he actually gained weight and had a shed all while he hadn't been eating which I thought was super weird also! Lol.
