More space and less babies doesn't make it worth it IMO. Solution? More snakes to eat the babies before they grow too large.

I breed dwarves and was all excited to regurgitate my knowledge and experience... then Michelle beat me to it. I would say for food only for colubrids you are better off with mice - but they stink as you know. Another way to do it is to breed dwarf males to full sized het dwarf females. This will give you full sized litters with 50% dwarf, so basically you'd have ~6 non dwarf pups that would need to be fed or euthanized small and ~6 dwarf pups which will stay mouse sized for their first 3-4 months or so.

Does that mean you have extras now? :o I could start planning a trip. I'd love to get started with some show mice and stop breeding these pet store mice.
1 Husband, 1 Western Hognose Snake (male), 2 ferrets (2 females), 1 male jungle leopard gecko, 4 gerbils (2 females & 2 males), 1 male dwarf rabbit, 3 guinea pigs (1 male, 1 female and 1 female skinny pig), 2 American parakeets, 2 cats (male bobcat hybrid and a male Egyptian Mau mix), and 2 dogs (female Mini Dachshund and a female Alaskan Malamute).
